Islamic Marriage Contract

Attached are two Islamic marriage contract templates: a standard marriage contract and a prenuptial agreement that includes provisions for agency (wakālah) and stipulated conditions. Both are provided as Word documents so that religious officials, imams of mosques and Islamic centers, and center administrators can download them and adapt them to the needs of their communities and their official roles.

Following the10th Conference of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America, these templates reflect the consensus of the participating lawyers and judges, who reviewed and approved them.
